49497 1/8 Glow-Engine R/C 4x4 Racing Truggy TRF801XT

This truggy’s highly efficient drive system comes from the optimized placement of the front and rear propeller shafts. The driveline is virtually straight which makes it the most efficient driveline in its class. The 801XT chassis has plenty of adjustability to fine-tune it for the most demanding of racetracks across the globe. TRF drivers from the Canada, USA, Europe and Japan will be piloting this new competition level “Truggy” throughout the year.

The 2009 1/8th scale off road season was very good to the new TRF801XT right out of the box. May marked the start of the RCPRO series in Ontario Canada. Tamiya Drivers Steve Bortolotti and Tom Wright showed just want over a year of testing could do for chassis design! Bortolotti took the Top Qualifying position and when on the claim victory! Wright brought is new 801XT home in 3rd. This was only the beginning as the season unfolded Tamiya Canada added 2 new team members, Abiye Birku and Gareth Houben. Both when on to set lap, TQ’s, and race wins in the GLORCS series! Gareth ended up winning the GLORCS series Truggy championship and while Bortolotti won the Ontario region RCPRO series with Wright finishing in the 2nd overall!

With Houben, Birku, Bortolotti, and Wright back for 2010 we expect to see the bright Blue cars at the front of the pack!
