After taking the 2005 Super GT championship with the venerable Supra, several of the Toyota teams made the switch to a new race car based on the Lexus SC430 luxury coupe. Widened fenders, an aerodynamic body made mostly of carbon fiber, and a powerful 4480cc V8 engine were among the race-spec modifications that were applied. Of the four new machines, the one sponsored by Tamiya was the white Mobil 1 SC driven by Akira Iida and Tatsuya Kataoka, which we now proudly bring you in the form of an Expert Built R/C model.
 

The TT-01 chassis features a bathtub frame with the R/C mechanisms and battery located low and flat for excellent balance and low center of gravity. 4-wheel double wishbone suspension and front/rear differential gears provide smooth handling performance. Stylish wheels equipped with racing slick tires ensure plenty of grip for on-road racing.
